Open Hardware Month 2025

I've you've read this blog for any time, you'll be aware I'm a massive shill for the Open Source Hardware Association. I've put several projects through certification, I've appeared on their Show and Tell podcast, and I even presented at this year's Open Hardware Summit in Edinburgh.

October is Open Hardware Month, and they're celebrating it with a 12-hour live stream on the 6th.

To get in the mood, I've taken my amazing OHS2025 badge down from my wall, flashed the new CircuitPython 10.0 release on it, and made sure my dodgy sewing wasn't too bad so that I could still control the addressable LEDs.

I'm also proud to announce that my recent Touchy Subject project has been certified by the OSHWA.

It joins Spy! Break! Inject! (UK000068) and VanSpoof (UK000075) as UK000080.

I hope to see you all in the chat during the live stream. If I get my act together, I might even get v2.0 of my metronalmost project completed and certified before the end of the month.
